For the 35th Nantes Dub Club and the first of the season, we welcome The Mighty Zulu Warrior: Jah Shaka! For his big return to Nantes Dub Club, he will shake the festive room Nantes Erdre with the sound system of Dub Livity. Alongside them, the singers Jacko and Parly B will make this back-to-school session a unique moment!

► Jah Shaka

Legendary operator and producer, Jah Shaka hails from Great Britain. He began his career in the mid-70s and quickly became one of the three most important sounds in the country. In 1980, while most UK sound systems followed the Jamaican trend of digital riddims and dancehalls, he preferred to stick to roots & culture sounds. Shaka's productions are recorded with live instruments (unlike most recent UK dub productions) and are recognizable by their crushing and powerful bass. The Mighty Zulu Warrior is considered one of the precursors of the UK Dub style. He has collaborated with renowned singers such as Max Romeo, Horace Andy and Johnny Clarke.

► Dub Livity Sound System

Founded in 2004 by Jamaican music enthusiasts, Dub Livity is a roots&culture artisanal sound system based in Nantes. The collective offers physical and conscious dances in the purest UK tradition. Thus, during their sessions, the rhythms are sustained, the bass physical and the mystic is often in the spotlight! Fans of round bass and steppa sounds, the activists of Dub Livity Sound System impose an energy that calls the public to gather around conscious and activist subjects. Experience guaranteed!!

A singer with a soulful voice and powerful charisma, he has been present on the French UK dub scene for many years.
