On October 9, 2025, the prestigious Salle Gaveau in Paris will host, for the second time, pianist and composer Maria Karakusheva. The Bulgarian artist will present the Paris premiere of her new album Forget Me Not, a work where neoclassical delicacy intertwines with a rare cinematic intensity.
Already praised at its debut at the Vondelkerk in Amsterdam, this project takes on a particularly special dimension in Paris. For the occasion, Maria will be joined on stage by the Constellations Quartet, adding orchestral depth and an even more immersive aura to her music.
A unique musical signature
A graduate of Berklee College of Music (Boston) and winner of the Best Film Music Award 2024, Maria Karakusheva has crafted a language of her own, blending neoclassical lyricism with cinematic storytelling.
Her previous works—Classic in the House (2010), Classic in the Jazz (2013), Hearteclipse Live (2019)—as well as her singles Nine (2022) and Enlightening (2023), already reflect this pursuit of balance between raw emotion and refined sophistication. She had previously performed in Paris in 2022 at Salle Cortot, where she premiered Hearteclipse.
With Forget Me Not, Maria continues this artistic journey, offering a delicate, intense, and profoundly contemporary work.

Located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, just steps away from the Champs-Élysées, Salle Gaveau has embodied musical excellence for more than a century. Inaugurated in 1907, it has hosted some of the greatest names in piano and chamber music—from Rubinstein to Argerich, Richter, and Kempff. Its outstanding acoustics make it a privileged stage for renowned pianists.
It is in this magnificent setting that Maria Karakusheva will unveil her new opus to the Parisian audience.
