Soul-Rebel Marley, grandson of the legendary Bob Marley, makes a remarkable entrance into the music scene with the release of his debut single, "Loving Jah". Produced under his own label Tek Time Productions, in collaboration with the prestigious Tuff Gong International, "Loving Jah" is a powerful tribute to Rastafarian spirituality and the family’s musical heritage.
"Loving Jah" - An Inspired and Inspiring Track
During a studio session with his brother Skip Marley, a Grammy Award winner, Soul-Rebel Marley was inspired to write the song's opening lines: "Hail up the King of Kings / We forever loving Jah". Initially recorded as a voice memo, these lyrics quickly became the foundation of his first musical project.
Despite having no prior recording experience as an artist, he created an a cappella version and built the instrumental around his vocals. This creative process resulted in a captivating single that references Bob Marley's 1980 classic "Forever Loving Jah".
A Unique Sound Signature: "Loving Jah" stands out with its masterful blend of sharp percussion, deep bass, and enchanting vocal harmonies provided by his mother, Cedella Marley, a Grammy Award-winning artist herself.
A Predestined Musical Career
"From birth, music has always been a part of me," says Soul-Rebel Marley, a multi-instrumentalist since a young age. Having started playing the piano at the age of six, he has already produced several tracks for his cousin Jo Mersa Marley and his aunt Sharon Marley.
His musical universe skillfully fuses traditional reggae with contemporary influences, creating a unique style that appeals to a new generation of listeners.
